Collectibility and Market Consensus
A 1955 first-year US release is a highly sought-after piece for vintage collectors. While it faced stiff competition in its day from the legendary Browning Auto-5, it remains a beloved piece of firearms history.
“I think Browning was ahead of their time and really on to something with the 20 weight guns. aluminum recievers were radical in their day, common weight savers now, balanced like a double', graceful small Prince of Wales grip.”
Ultimate Pheasant Forum:
“As responsive upland field guns, neither of the other two in 12 gauge remotely compares to the carry all day prowess of the Double Auto, particularly in Twelvette or Twentyweight configurations.
