Description:
Just received this beautiful Browning Superposed Over/Under, 20 Gauge Shotgun. This 1965 vintage, Belgian manufactured, shotgun is fitted with 28 inch vent rib barrels (choked modified and full), 3" chambers, automatic ejectors, gold single select trigger, checkered forearm, long tang and checkered round knob pistol grip stock. The 1965 vintage Superposed Over/Unders are considered by some to be the finest ever made and this is a fine example of one. The barrels retain 98% of their original blue with only one notable ding in the rib as shown in the photos. The frame about 90%, with most thinning on the bottom, due to carry/handling.The trigger shows some flaking of it's original gold finish. The stock and forearm retain all of their original finish, with assorted minor handling marks/dings. There is a factory repaired knot in the buttstock that can be seen in the photos, but does not take away from the over all appearance of the gun. The black plastic Browning butt-plate is in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips. The ejectors work perfectly, the bores are bright and the action locks up tight and functions as new. NOTE: The LOP is 14-1/2" inches and it weighs 6 lbs. 10 oz... Very attractive Superposed that has all the right features and is begging to be taken on a South Dakota Pheasant hunt this Fall.
