1973 Browning Belgium B-26 1st Year Produced 12 G Vented Rib
Description: History
Introduced in 1973, the Browning B-26 (often referred to as the FN Liege) was designed as a down-market, more affordable over-and-under alternative to the legendary, high-end Belgian Browning B25 Superposed. Utilizing parts manufactured in Japan by B.C. Miroku and assembled by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Belgium, it offered classic Browning handling on a budget.
Overview & Specs
Action: Over/Under (O/U)
Gauge: 12-gauge (28" barrel)
Weight: ~7 lbs
Origin: Parts by Miroku (Japan), assembled by FN (Belgium)
Shooting Impressions & Performance
Handling: The B-26 swings sweetly, mounts well, and points naturally for most shooters. It possesses enough mass to absorb recoil and keep the swing steady, making it an excellent working field gun.
Reliability: The action is ruggedly built, operating on proven John Browning principles.
Current Market & Collectibility
Value: Often dubbed the "poor man's Superposed," these shotguns are generally appreciated as solid field and hunting guns rather than high-dollar collector pieces.
Condition
The gun is in overall very good condition. The wood show a few small habdling marks and the bluing shows some thinning. The bores are in great shape. Fixed IM over IC choking.
