Belgium Browning Superposed Mallard Series #355 of 500, Engraved W/7 Gold Inlay Waterfowl, Cased, 12 Ga, Trades Welcome

Description:

Limited Edition number 355 of 500, High grade Belgian made sporting gun built with 28" blued steel barrels fit with ejectors, 2-3/4" chambers, ventilted matte rib with white front and mid sight beads. Chokes are factory marked "* / **" - Full & Modified. The barrels are roll marked "BROWNING SUPERPOSED" over "SPECIAL STEEL 12GA. SHELLS_2-3/4"" over "BROWNING PATENTS" on top right barrel. Left side is roll marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q." over "MADE IN BELGIUM". The French grey finished receiver features a total of 7 gold inlaid mallards (2 each right, left and bottom and 1 on trigger guard bow) and full coverage foliate scroll engraving . The mallards on the right and left side are also bordered in gold wire. In banner on bottom of the action body in gold inlay is engraved "AMERICAN MALLARD ANAS PLATYRCHYNCHOS" and "355 of 500". Gold inlaid "C" on trigger guard bow. The action is fit with a gold washed single selective mechanical trigger and a non-automatic safety. The top lever is engraved and checkered on both sides and the engraved/scored safety slide incorporates the barrel selector. The reddish-brown highly marbled deluxe quality walnut round knob grip stock has fancy bordered scroll checkering and a long trigger guard tang. Game style fore-end is fit with matching engraved iron metal, 14-1/2" LOP to a 3/4" recoil pad, Cast Nil at face, 7 Lbs - 3 Oz.
Condition is excellent pampered lightly used with no outstanding blems. A true shooting piece of the Gunmakers Art that is a thing of funtional beauty in your hands.
