Browning B25 12 Gauge – MILLENIUM EDITION, 1 OF 10, CUSTOM SHOP, vintage firearms inc
Description:
General Specs: Browning, Year 2000, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 11oz, Chokes IC/LM, LOP 14 3/4", DAH 2", DAC 1 3/8"
Serial Number: 2000S05
The Browning B25 was one of John Brownings most prolific firearm creations. Developed in 1925, it has remained the same design for the past 94 years, so we know he got it right from the beginning. The B25 is still available today through the Browning Custom Shop in Herstal, Belgium. These are BESPOKE, hand-fitted, custom-made over/under shotguns at the pinnacle of the gunmaker’s art, each hand engraved by master engravers and stocked with the finest walnut stocks in existence. This gun, sn2000S05 made in the year 2000, is a special edition celebrating the Millenium and is one of only 10 ever made in this style. Hand engraved and signed by master engraver Antoinette Brigante (A. Brigante), the Millenium Edition has full coverage vine and foliate scroll with pheasants on the left side, ducks on the right, and a portrait of John M. Browning on the bottom of the receiver. The Millenium Edition has all the finest that the Browning Custom Shop has to offer- the finest exhibition Turkish walnut, 3-piece forearm with Schnabel tip, detailed drop points at the apex of the full sideplates which greatly expand the engravers canvas, checkered butt, long tang trigger guard, and cased in the maker’s case. With only 10 ever produced, this is an extremely rare Browning and an eminently useable shotgun for field or clays. The Custom Shop still produces the highest grade B25 shotguns that are only available in Europe and Great Britain and countries other than the U.S. A Browning Custom Shop B25 with this level of fit and finish, and these options, will cost over $80,000 if you order one today with over a year to have finished. This gun is in 99% condition and can be had at a fraction of that cost. This is a field and sporting gun, with 30” barrels choked IC/LM, all mechanicals functioning perfectly, and a generous stock measuring 14 ¾” LOP with 2” drop at heel and ¼” cast off for a right-handed shooter. This is a unique opportunity to have one of the finest modern Browning Superposed ever produced in your collection. What a beautiful work of art that will surely appreciate in value as you enjoy its use. This is a shotgun that will draw a crowd and bring great pride in ownership. There has not been another for sale in the last decade that I can find, so she is a very rare Browning. Thanks for looking and please call for details.
