Browning Belgium Superpose O/U Shotgun MFG 1954 20 GA 26.5 FULL/MODIFIED

The Browning Superposed is John Browning’s classic over/under shotgun design introduced in the 1930s and produced by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Belgium. The Superposed was built as a high-quality, hand fitted sporting shotgun and remained a popular choice for clay target shooting and upland game. 

Description
1954 Browning Superposed over/under 20 gauge shotgun. 26.5″ vented rib barrels choked FULL/MODIFIED with brass bead front sight. Blued engraved receiver with crisp, distinct engraving; mechanically solid action with single selectable trigger and tang safety/barrel selector.  Break open action is mechanically solid, with light handling marks. It has a very good Prince of Wales checkered grip stock and forearm, distinct checkering,  showing only light wear and handling marks which are consistent with honest use and age.

Condition

• Bores: Shiny, smooth — Good internal condition
• Bluing: overall very good with light speckling; a few short scratches on the bottom barrel adjacent to the forearm.
• Receiver: blued engraved receiver in great condition; engraving is distinct and crisp; very light wear on bottom and edges.
• Stock & forearm finish: very nice checkered grip stock and forearm; light wear and handling marks. No cracks observed. 
• This shotgun will be an AWESOME addition to your COLLECTION and/or future outings!
