Browning Belgium Superposed Lightning Over/Under Shotgun MFG 1954 20 GA 28" FULL/MODIFIED

The Browning Superposed is John Browning’s classic over/under shotgun design introduced in the 1930s and produced by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Belgium. The Superposed was built as a high-quality, hand fitted sporting shotgun and remained a popular choice for clay target shooting and upland game. 

Description
1957 Browning Superposed Lightning over/under 12 gauge shotgun, 28″ vented rib barrels choked FULL/MODIFIED with White bead front and white mid-bead sights. Blued engraved receiver with crisp, distinct engraving; mechanically solid action with single selectable trigger, ejectors,  and tang safety/barrel selector,   Break open action is mechanically solid, receiver has some light speckling and  light handling marks. It has a fair to good Prince of Wales checkered grip stock and forearm, distinct checkering,  showing light wear and moderate handling marks and a couple hunting scars which are consistent with honest field ahd hunting use and age.

Condition

• Bores: Bright shiny and smooth — Good internal condition
• Bluing: overall good+ with light speckling; a few short scratches on the bottom barrel adjacent to the forearm.
• Receiver: blued engraved receiver in good condition; light speckling, engraving is distinct and crisp; light wear on bottom and edges.
• Stock & forearm finish: Fair to good checkered grip stock and forearm; moderate wear and handling marks. No cracks observed. 
• This shotgun will be an FUN addition to your future outings!
