Browning Lightning 20 ga Belgian Over/Under Shotgun; Grade 1; 26-Inch Barrels
Description:
This family collection piece is a Belgian Browning 20-Gauge Lightning Over/Under Shotgun with 26-Inch (fraction over 26”) Barrels and Vent Rib; Serial Number 427XX V6. A local Club member and emails from GI Viewers say it is a Short Tang 66/1966. This was in the “salt-wood” period – but this gun does not appear to be affected - or else it was dealt with long ago. The metal shows no salt corrosion or build-up that we can see after disassembling the buttstock from the gun. Length of Pull = 13-3/8 Inches including the Recoil Pad. This Belgian made gun predates the mass-produced Citori-Lightning models by decades – and appears to be from the Post-War/Post 1955 Superposed Line or Series. Muzzle diameter measurements with a reloading caliber are approximately UPPER: 0.610” // LOWER .618” with choke markings as follows: Upper = ** [Modified] and Lower = **- [Improved]. Photos of the breech & barrel interiors did not come out well, but there is no rust or pitting. The wood is above standard grade with decently-preserved finish, full checkering of the forearm, and border-panel checkering on the Prince of Wales-(ish) Pistol Grip. Decorative (Grade 1, we are told) Engraving is still sharp despite honest wear and use for age. We are not dealers or experts, and will let viewers judge condition by the accompanying photos. Please ask any questions or request additional information before purchase as this item will be costly to return owing to CA re-registration and other regulations. Any refunds will be minus our actual shipping cost and FFL fees after buyer pays return shipping. The listed price Includes Insured Ground Shipping from a CA FFL Dealer to yours. Payment is by Money Order, Bank (Certified) Check or Personal Check (held 2-3 days). We are the Estate Executor and Trustee, not a dealer, and cannot handle credit card or electronic payments. This item is subject to prior sale.
