Browning Superposed European 20 gauge O/U shotgun.  Sideplated, round knob, long tang, 3 piece Schnabel forend.  The sideplated frame is in a French Gray and is completely covered in a floral/scroll engraving motif with game scene vignettes on both side plates, the floor plate and the trigger guard.  In those game scenes there are beautiful gold inlays of:  flying quail on the left, flying grouse on the right, a dove on the bottom and a dog’s head on the trigger guard.  All the engraving is well executed and signed by master engraver Angelo Bee.  The 3-piece FE and the buttstock are of finely figured walnut.  The LOP is 15 1/8” to the checkered butt; very “straight” 1 ¼” DAC & 1 1/2” DAH with ¼” LH cast.  The 26 ½” barrels have a hand filed rib and choked IC/M.  This gorgeous Herstal Browning weighs 6 lbs. 3 oz.
