Browning, Superposed (Belgium), 20 gauge, Lightning
Description:
Browning, over/under shotgun, Model Superposed (Belgium), Lightning, Grade I, Field, 20 gauge (2 3/4" & 3"), s/n 50585 V8 (mfg. 1968), 26 1/2" barrels, choked Full & Modified, RK/ST, THIS GUN IS AN ANOMOLY. The metal retains virtually all of its orginal blue having only edge wear from carrying on the receiver and a couple of small areas of discoloration on the barrels, THE BORES ARE MINT, The wood has a round knob with a short tang. The buttstock has a 14 5/8" pull over a solid black Pachmyer Decelerator pad. There is a small area of finish missing under the receiver where it meets the stock which, of course, will not affect the guns shooting, THE CHECKERING IS PERFECT ON THE BUTTSTOCK AND FOREARM, The reason I say this gun is an anomoly is because the buttstock and forearm have been professionally refinished in the correct factory type finish. However, there are dark areas along the wood where it joins the receiver which would indicate "salt wood". Problem is the metal finish was not affected as it normally would be if the stock were a "salt stock". We are selling this gun as a shooter/collector grade due to this stock abnormality. The selling price gives the purchaser enough room to locate a replacement stock IF HE WANTS TO and still come out well on the overall price. Or you can just shoot the gun as it is for the rest of your life and hand it down to whomever you wish. It is a fine shooter as it is. Retail value $1800.00, Sale priced at $1495.00
Our firearms and accessories are best viewed on a desktop or laptop computer with at least a 15" high rez screen. Viewing on an I-phone, I-pad, or tablet just can't show the detail that our professional photographer exhibits in his photos.
We have been in the firearms business for over 55 years (since 1960) under the same ownership. We are a Platinum dealer on GI. We are receiving up to 50 e-mails daily. All buyers are taken on a strict first come-first served basis depending on the date and time we receive their e-mail. We strive to describe all of our sale items accurately and fully and include professional quality photos of each item. We do our best to point out negatives (if any) regarding a sale item. Although we offer a 3-day, no questions asked, return policy it has rarely been used the entire time we have been in business.
The first potential buyer who states that he definitely wants an item gets it. Those having questions who do not commit to purchase in their first inquiry will have their questions answered but may lose the sale if another buyer e-mails after they do and commits to purchase before we can get back to the first inquirer to answer their questions. This happens almost daily and disappoints a lot of people. If you see something you want- commit to buy it. You will not be disappointed.
We cater to first time GI buyers. You can purchase from us with total confidence. We will guide you through the purchasing process if need be.
