Offered here is an exceptionally clean and highly desirable Browning Superposed Grade I Lightning chambered in 20 gauge. Built in Belgium during the golden era of Browning production, this Superposed combines elegant proportions, lightweight handling characteristics, and the timeless craftsmanship that made the Superposed one of the most respected over/under shotguns ever produced.

This example features 26 1/2” barrels with 2 3/4” and 3” chambers, making it an extremely versatile upland and sporting shotgun. The gun is fitted with a ventilated rib and a single brass front bead. The chokes are marked Improved Cylinder and Modified, an ideal configuration for upland hunting and general field use.

The shotgun is equipped with a single selective trigger and a highly sought-after round knob long tang grip configuration. The walnut stocks display attractive figure and retain a classic Lightning-style field profile with sharp checkering and excellent overall appearance. The gun balances beautifully at just 6 lbs. 4 ozs., giving it the lively handling characteristics that have made the 20 gauge Superposed Lightning such a favorite among knowledgeable shooters and collectors.

Condition overall is excellent. The bluing remains strong throughout with only minimal handling wear visible. The receiver engraving remains crisp and attractive, while the wood maintains excellent finish and presentation.
