Belgiam made, Browning Superposed Midas Grade O/U 12 gauge shotgun with 28" barrel, manufactured in 1966, according to the serial number. Last year of the salt free, round knob, long tang Superposed gun!
This gun is in great condition, appears to be never fired, with a few marks from storage and a small amount of grease and/or oil on internal mechanisms.
Engraving by Browning Master Engraver, Andre Dierckx with signature on both sides.
The field style stock and forearm are crafted from a very select piece of Walnut being checkered and were finished flawlessly. The round knob pistol grip stock has a 14 1/4" length. The gun weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz. and has the originial butt plate and ivory bead sight. All finishes appear to be original.
This gun was previously a family heirloom, that I acquired three years ago from a member of the family. This description was made with the assistance of a member of the Browning Collectors Association, who is much more knowledgeable of this model than I am. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have.
