Custom Shop Factory Matched Pair of 12ga Browning B25 Superposed Shotguns in Fitted Case Engraved by J. P. Bailey
Description: This factory matched pair was manufactured in 1998. Both guns are built with blued steel barrels with a single nickel bead sight on the matted vent rib which is marked with a gold inlaid "I" or "II" at the base, chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked "**-"/"*-" (improved cylinder/improved modified). The coin finished sideplated actions display scroll engraving and game scenes bordered by floral and dot borders. The left sideplates have a covey of pheasant in an upland scene, the undersides show a running rabbit, and the right have a covey of quail bedding in the tall grass. The engraving is signed on the left sides below the scene "J.P.BAILLY" for factory Master Engraver Jean-Pierre Bailly. The guns feature a single triggers and a tang mounted safety/selector switches with gold inlaid "O", "U", and "S" markings. Each gun has an exceptionally well-figured Schnabel tip forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip forend with blank inscription oval and skip-line checkered bare butt. Included is an oak & leather takedown case that houses both guns. 235NP02772 Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .728/.728 inches; choke constriction .016/.030 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.033 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 4 oz. 235NP02773 Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .728/.728 inches; choke constriction .016/.030 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.033 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 4 oz. Condition of both guns is crisp and near new. They do not look to be fired outside of the factory and handled very little! I would like to keep the pair together but would sell them individually for $15,500 each. Vintage firearms are a passion of mine. I am more than happy to provide any insight or info that I can regarding vintage Brownings or any other collectible firearms. Do not hesitate to call/text me at 402-314-2729 even if it is not about the gun I have for sale! Love talking with people who have an appreciation for them, sharing my knowledge, and learning more when I can. Lots of dishonest sellers out there, be careful when collecting or investing. I provide a 5 day inspection period to ensure you are happy with everything and that I was accurate in my description and photographs. I hope to find good homes where these collectible pieces will be appreciated and enjoyed. Shipping is a flat $200 to lower 48 (PRIORITY MAIL, INSURED FOR THE VALUE OF THE GUN). It will be well packaged and cared for. SOLD Shotgun Gauge: 12 Gauge Manufacturer: Browning Model: Superposed |
