Early Prewar 32" FN Browning Superposed Shotgun
Description: Scarce FN Browning Superposed marked Browning Arms Co. Ogden, Utah, S/N 1281, with the only monoblocked barrels I've seen on a Superposed, marked 'Browning Superposed' on top of flat rib at breech. True double triggers, ejectors, with 32" first style Non-Crossfire ventilated rib barrel which was a $20 option. Excellent bores and chambers with double ivory beads on flat engine turned rib. Bottom barrel w/ .725 bore & .031" choke. Upper barrel w/ .724 bore & .019" choke. All original thinning blue with carry wear on bottom of frame. Action and lockup are very tight with toplever well to right. Engraving on frame very similar to Superlight Field models in 60's & 70's. Stock and forend wood is solid with no splits or cracks. Trigger guard is missing screw and stock has S/N in the 15xx range but fits perfectly. It was probably replaced long ago as these prewar stocks are almost impossible to find today. The left side of the stock has been sanded to give more cast-off for a right hand shooter as the stock originally had neutral cast. This would make a great shooter as is, or a knockout with a restock. The metal is all clean and bright with no rust or pits. Getting very difficult to find these very early Supers.
