First Year 1949 Browning 20 Gauge Superposed Serial Number 598
Description:
This appears to be original condition and was probably made around mid 1949, based on serial number 598. Over 75 years old and still very tight, and very few marks on wood, no marks on bluing. Numbers match, 26 1/2" barrels, Browning pad, not sure if you could order with pad in 1949, but it looks pretty old and fits to the stock perfect. So if it was added it was a professional modification, LOP 14 1/4" +/- 1/8". Rare SOLID RIB, Chokes Skeet and Skeet. Barrel are spotless. Has Browning hard case Model #8 that also appears original, in very good condition. Case does have slight odor of smoking in home where case was stored. Gun does not have any odor. I left the case open in garage for the last couple months and smell is barely noticeable. Original brochure and unopened keys to case included. Please Email for additional pictures or video and ask any questions. Tried to take pictures of the couple small marks on stockI think this can go to CC+R holder or FFL. I am a licensed FFL.
