Easily the most fantastic and high art Superposed I have sold in the last several years. This particular gun is truly a work of art. Made with 26-1/2" barrels that have low profile ventilated rib. Three piece forend with Schnabel tip is beautifully checkered. The receiver is full coverage engraved and signed by Smetz near the trigger guard with incredible relief engraving and hidden game birds of the highest quality as seen in the photos. The exhibition Turkish Walnut buttstock is of the one of the most highly figured pieces of wood on a gun I've ever owned. Checkered butt which is finished in skip line checkering. The gun is housed in a Browning Airways case.
The gun remains in unfired condition retaining virutally all of its custom finish to both the wood and the metal. It would be hard to imagine a more beautifully done Superposed than this.
