For sale from my Dad and I's personal collection is a very unique Belgian Browning Superposed that I believe to be a special order gun. The reason for this is the barrel configuration, being 26.5 inches long with a solid rib with dual ivory beads and being choked Improved Modified (*-) over Skeet (**$) is not a standard configuration from the 1950s catalogs, it only states that any choke combo could be accomodated if specifically requested.
Being a 1952 gun it features a slightly different engraving pattern with center oval scrollwork, only a small tuft of corner scrollwork, and prominent spiral bordering. Also a key feature of these early 1950s guns is the lack of a gold trigger, instead having a blued trigger finish that takes on a very unique color due to the metal properties of the triggers at the time.
The condition of this gun is also quite exceptional, especially for such an early gun. There are only a few faint handling marks in the wood, and the only appreciable wear in the metal is concentrated to the trigger tang and upper receiver tang where some freckling is present from light use/hand contact over time. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer example and this one has some very unique features to top it off!
