Browning Superposed Gr V 12 gauge...Funken eng.

Description:
Browning Belgium Superposed 12 gauge O/U shotgun made in 1952 and engraved in Grade V pattern by the best known of all of the Browning engravers, Master Felix Funken.  The Grade V pattern, with a few changes, became the Diana in later years.

Configured in a field model with 26 ½” barrels choked Full & Full with vent rib and front metal bead.  Round knob, long tang stock with factory butt plate.  14 ¼” LOP, 1 ½” DAC and 2 3/8” DAH with 3/8” left hand cast.  Nicely figured stock and forearm.  The checkering is cut like a modern Diana but finer with more lines per inch.

The Funken engraved receiver, forearm iron, long tang trigger guard are all finished in the original bright “coin”.  The barrel blue is 98%+, lettering if faint but a edges are sharp and original.

This is a very nice example of a Grade V and especially desirable because of the Funken engraving.  The gun come cased in a correct, blue lined, Tolex case.
