This is a very unique Doyan Engraved Grade 5, 20 gauge Superposed Browning. Acknowledged as skilled an engraver as Felix Funkin, Doyan typically only engraved Grade 5 guns. This is the only Grade 5 with gold animals that we have ever encountered. Browning Collectors letter confirms that the gun was made as an original Grade 5 in 1956. Unusual Monte Carlo cheekpiece stock with Fleur de lis checkering pattern and Browning Butt Plate. Silver oval grip cap inlay with initials, also confirmed by Browning Collectors Association Letter. This appears to be a very rare custom order Browning. Chokes are Skeet and IC, having been opened up from Mod and Full, also confirmed by the Browning letter. Gun was obviously used for Skeet and has seen extensive use. Mirror bores. Weight of gun is 6 LBS 13 1/2 OZ. LOP is 13 7/8:". Drop at Comb - 1 1/2". Drop at Heel - 2". Shipping is $50.
