Side plated action with magnificent vignettes of gamebirds in flight surrounded by beautiful florets with contrasting raised pistils of gold and sweeping shaded scrollwork, the top lever complemented with a birds head motif. Signed by the master R. Baptiste . Roland Baptiste is a world class artisan whose work includes Best British special commissions such as Holland & Holland. Three piece Schnabel fore end, round knob long tang stock of exhibition grade walnut shows deep amber color and striking black marbling swirling throughout. Measurements are 1-1/4" comb, 2-1/4" heel, 15-1/2" LOP to a checkered butt. Well balanced at the hinge pin. Weighs 6 lb., 7 oz. Truly a one of a kind work of art. Fabulous, as new. Cased.
