This very rare Browning Superposed Midas Grade Superlight 28 gauge shotgun has a 26" barrel with Mod/IM chokes. The left side of the receiver features a new design at the time of production by Browning's factory engraver Vrancken, with deep relief scroll engraving with gold inlaid ducks and pheasants, and a quail on the bottom. The ejector trip rods, ejector hammers, and firing pin are also 18Kt. gold plated. The stock is best quality walnut with fine checkering. The right side of the receiver is marked as hand engraved by another of Browning's top 5 engravers of the period, J. Baerten. Very rare: Approximately 9 manufactured!
This gun shows light handling marks, and a few shallow dings, as shown in the photos, but is still in beautiful condition and is exquisite. Weight" 6.34 lbs. LOP: 13 5/8" Drop at Comb: 1.5" Drop at Heel: 2"
