Made in 1973 and this is the ONLY 28 gauge Midas made that year in a field configuration with 28” barrels! That statement is supported by table “Browning Superposed Sales 1973 on page 445, from the Schwing book “The Browning Superposed”
This is a mint condition Midas that was made 53 years ago.
The Midas pattern engraving and gold inlays were executed and signed by Browning Master Engraver, M. L. Geurde.

The grain and color of the pistol grip buttstock is nothing short of fantastic. The adjective “elegant” comes to mind when looking at both sides of this stock and the finish is flawless. The length of pull is 14 3/8” over the factory butt plate with drop at comb of 1 3/8” and the drop at heel of 2”. Neutral to very slight right-hand cast. Matching field style forearm. Both pieces are finely checkered in the traditional Midas pattern.
