Browning Superposed 20 gauge Pigeon Grade O/U shotgun. Made in 1963 only three years after the Pigeon grade was introduced, this is of course, a round knob/long tang field configuration. The 26 ½” vent rib barrels are factory Skeet/IC. This may have been the “golden era” for Superposed guns with a tremendous amount of craftsmanship evident in the workmanship.
14 1/8” LOP over a factory butt plate, 1 7/16” DAC and 2 ¼” DAH with neutral stock cast.
All original finishes, except the buttstock may have been professionally refinished (but I am not certain!). The bluing, coin finish, and forearm are 97% original condition. Bores are perfect and the gun is exceptionally tight.
Weighs 6 lbs. 4 oz. balances at the hinge pin and handles nicely. A perfect gun for upland bird hunting and a fine addition to a collection.
