Browning Belgian Superposed Two BBL Trap set
Description:
SOLD PF **** The Browning Superposed are hand-fitted shotguns that were made by some of the best craftsman in Europe to Browning's high standard of excellence. And only the best craftsmen and women were allowed to work on these wonderful examples of Browning’s offerings. This Grade 1 Superposed, in 12 ga, is a rare two barrel trap set being one of only a handful built between 1945 -1977. A lot of the trap grade 12 gauge guns encountered are Broadway trap guns, so it's unusual to come across a standard two barrel trap gun with semi-beartail forends. It has a serial number of 55344, being built in 1958. It has tight and long shooting 30" barrels with Full/Imp-Mod chokes and the 28" barrels are choked Imp-Mod/Mod. This Browning has the most desired round knob stock with 22 lines per inch, flawless checkering. Some grade 1 trap guns were ordered with a recoil pad which was a Pachmayr Jumbo trap recoil pad marked Browning. It weighs 8lb. 2oz. and is all factory original and still retains most of its overall condition. The wood retains a lot of the original finish with several minor light handling marks from 60 years of use. It comes in a period Hartman case. Highly desirable and wonderfully built to last, the value of these grade one Superposed guns continues to climb so there's no better time than the present to buy one.
