Chambered in 12 gauge for 2.75" shells, this masterpiece combines the legendary Auto 5’s proven reliability with the elegance and artistry reserved for the finest bespoke firearms. The 26" vent-rib barrel, topped with a gold front bead, is threaded for Invector chokes and comes complete with five original chokes and the factory choke key, offering unmatched versatility in the field or on the range. The coin-finished action is adorned with large open scrollwork framing exquisite game scenes, including setters and flushing woodcock on both sides, with the FN logo subtly placed at the rear of the right panel. The top of the action proudly bears the inscriptions “Limited Edition Made in Belgium” and “Original Auto 5,” further embellished with fine scroll and signed by master engraver Romanville B. at the rear above the trigger guard. The barrel retains 99% of its original deep blued finish, speaking to the care with which this shotgun has been preserved. The exhibition-grade walnut stock and forend display rich figure and warm color, accented by sharp checkering on the round-knob pistol grip and forend. Light handling marks, consistent with careful use, are the only testament to its age.
