Browning Magnum Twelve
A5 12 Ga, Made In Japan, 28" Barrel
Description:
The Browning Automatic 5, most often Auto-5 or simply A-5, is a recoil-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed by John Browning. The Browning Auto-5 was the first mass-produced semi-automatic shotgun. Designed by John Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900, it was produced continually for almost 100 years by several makers with production ending in 1998. It features a distinctive high rear end, earning it the nickname “Humpback". It is also an important piece of Browning/Winchester history.
This shotgun was built by Miroku in Japan under contract with Browning in 1991. Named the Magnum Twelve, this gun weighs 9 lbs, 12 ounces. It has a 28 inch barrel which accepts Invector chokes. The barrel has a Full Choke installed. Many hunters consider this gun perfect for shooting heavy 12 ga. Magnum loads when hunting waterfowl.
The gun is mechanically perfect, bore is perfect and doesn’t appear to have been shot much. There are a few small blemishes on the forehand and a few on the butt stock, but the bluing is perfect except for one small mark on the left side of the barrel just forward of the foreend. (see photos) The three recoil rings are like new and installed correctly under the barrel.
