Description:
The Browning 2000 was Browning's first gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun, manufactured in Belgium by FN from roughly 1974 to 1980. It is famous for its unique side-loading mechanism and high-quality "old world" craftsmanship. Unlike most semi-autos that load from the bottom, the B-2000 features a loading port on the left side of the receiver. This allows for very fast "speed loading. Polished blued steel, often decorated with light scroll engraving and the Browning "Buckmark" or name. The B-2000 was designed to compete with the Remington 1100. While it was mechanically excellent and very soft-shooting due to its gas system, it was expensive to produce. It was eventually replaced by the Browning B-80. Today, it is highly regarded by enthusiasts for its reliability and refined balance. 12 Gauge
