Outstanding Browning A5 Sweet 16, Shotgun. Serial number OS – 54 257 caliber 16 gauge with 23 1/2 inch blue round barrel that has an adjustable rear site and ramp blade front site barrel with usual maker stamps and proof marks. Finger groove walnut forend checkered in point pattern, blue receiver, engraved with light floral scroll on top and left side engraved Sweet 16. Blue long tang trigerguard is lightly engraved. Gold plated trigger. Round knob, pistol grip, walnut buttock checkered in point pattern and terminate with its original FNN Browning, automatic, Butt plate. Weight 6 lbs. 14 oz. chambered in two and three-quarter inches bore diameter .664 restrictions .015. LOP 141/4" Condition: Excellent as lightly field use. Barrel with 99% original blue and retaining frame retains close to 100% original blue. Stock is excellent and sound with about 97% original finish remaining, minor handling marks. Bore is bright and shiny mechanics are excellent. The serial number indicates a 1960 gun however there's some controversy that it was built earlier. If you have information please let me know.
