Description:
The Browning A5 Light Twelve is a semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. It features a 28-inch barrel fitted with a vent rib for sight alignment and balance. The receiver and barrel share Browning’s traditional Auto-5 long-recoil action design, and the shotgun has a standard capacity of five rounds. This particular example was manufactured in Japan in 1985, consistent with the production period of the Miroku-made Auto-5 models. The overall configuration reflects the Light Twelve variant, designed to reduce weight compared to earlier steel-frame versions.
The barrel is equipped with Browning’s Invector choke system, allowing interchangeable choke tubes for pattern adjustment. The length of pull measures approximately 14 3/8 inches, and the total weight is listed at 8 lb 2 oz. The shotgun is used, showing normal handling and firing wear consistent with age and prior use. The vent-rib barrel and semi-automatic long-recoil action remain defining features of the A5 design, combining a distinctive profile with functional recoil operation.
Included with the shotgun are eight Invector choke tubes and a choke wrench. These components provide flexibility for varying shot patterns across different shooting applications. No additional accessories or packaging.
