Rare opportunity to own a gun enjoyed by one of the most prolific writers of our time.  Larry McMurtry (1936-2021) from Archer City, Texas.  Probably best known for his writing of The Last Picture Show, Terms of Endearment, Lonesome Dove, too many to list.  Jame McMurtry in 2023 decided to let go of some of his fathers possessions.  Included was this very nice Browning Citori.  The gun was a gift from a Native American Poet and Novelist Leslie Marmon Silko, as they wrote a screenplay together based on the comic book 'Honky Tonk Sue' however it was never produced.  Also, with the gun is an autographed copy of Lonesome Dove which shows to have been printed in 1985.   Included in the sale will be all of the provenance, with the receipt from the purchasing of the gun and documentation form the estate.  

Browning Condition  - As you can see by the pictures gun is in excellent condition, does shows signs of use in the field.  Great piece of history that you could take out in the field and enjoy.
