The bluing is excellent, grading 98+%.  The high-grade wood has one or two ting handling marks, and rates at 98+%.  The bores have a mirror shine.  Japan was made in 1990.

Although the elegance of a fine over and under shotgun cannot be denied, its true beauty is only appreciated in the field. In other words, with gorgeous grade V/VI walnut and detailed gold-accented engraving, the Gran Lightning is a sight to behold that needs to be held. 

Built for the long haul with tried and true design, fit, and performance, this is a shotgun built to excel on the range and in the field. The Citori Gran Lightning's round knob grip allows the shooter to quickly position the hand at the same, solid place for each shot, thus offering better control for fast-flying waterfowl, upland game, sporting clays or skeet. Matching the rounded pistol grip is the forearm, which is also nicely rounded. Together, they give the name to this over-under gun as "Lightning Style".
