Browning's Cynergy over-under shotgun series was introduced in 2004 as a modernized take on the classic over-under. The shotgun receiver is noticeably shorter than a classic design and, compared to the Citori gold standard, the Cynergy is a shorter receiver from top to bottom as well, altering how the gun will fit, per shooter. These modernized upgrades are largely due to the Cynergy's ignition system, now a striker system rather than the classic hammers & firing pins. The striker-fired design allows for less moving parts inside the receiver and a smaller construction, ultimately trimming manufacturing costs and weight. This piece in particular is an original first-year production Cynergy Field model. The shotgun has 3" chambers bored for 12 gauge with 28" barrels. The barrels are attached by a vented side rib and topped with a vented checkered top rib with white mid bead and ivory front bead. The barrels have a full choke installed in the top barrel and modified in the bottom and otherwise accepts other Browning/Winchester Invector Plus choke tubes. The receiver has some light laser-engraving on the sides and is built from steel with a silver nitride finish. The trigger is a wide gold-plated trigger and the shotgun features automatic ejectors. The shotgun wears a set of satin-finished checkered walnut furniture and vented Cynergy Inflex rubber buttpad. The overall status of this gun is very good. There is only light wear on the wood with no major defects or cracks. The receiver has no scratches and the barrel bluing is very good. There is some light surface rust on the barrel flats inside where the barrels and receiver join. The barrels are bright and clean with no rust, corrosion, or pitting. Overall fitment and action on the gun is tight and smooth. This Cynergy Field does not include a case or box. 12 Gauge
