Description:
In my and Randy Wakeman's opinions the finest semi-automatic shotgun Browning has ever made, and I own over 30 A5s.  The B-80 was Browning's 2nd effort to make a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun.  The past failure resulted in combining efforts with Beretta.  The B-80 was offered from 1981 – 1988. When the B-80 was introduced, Browning and Beretta shared some of the same ownership and they teamed with Beretta to create the B-80. It was their only shotgun made as a team.  The gun is simple and easy to tear down.  It works flawlessly and is extremely durable and dependable.  It handles 2 3/4" loads, but with a change to a magnum barrel, it can handle 3" loads without changing any other parts. Browning had “big plans” for the B-80, but the Browning / Beretta relationship ended, and along with that was the end of the B-80.  This gun has a chrome-lined 26" barrel to handle steel shot.  Fixed IC choke. The furniture is like new.  I found two very small compressions on the forend.  It has a small amount of crazing typical with alloy bluing on the top of the receiver.  It is spotless inside and out.  Tough Upland English-style buttstock.  Rare SL (super light) combination.
