UPDATE: I used the term baby frame to emphasize that it is not the standard frame for a 3 barrel set. I have measured this frame (a standard 410ga frame) and it is slightly smaller than the standard 20ga frame that was typically used for these sets.
For sale is an extremely unusual Belgium Browning Superposed Midas Grade 3 barrel skeet set from 1966. This is because the frame is a 410ga with the "J" suffix in the serial number. Every 3 barrel set I've ever seen has a 20ga frame with the "V" suffix. All 3 barrels of this set are serial numbered to the frame with the 410ga set being stamped "1" where with every other set I've seen it is stamped "3".
I have been trying to get documentation on this gun for almost a year now from Browning but have not received any updates or information from them yet. My assumption is this set was either special ordered, or was originally a 410ga Midas that was sent back to be fitted with the 20ga and 28ga barrels.
The set is in very nice condition, there are some light handling marks throughout but nothing too obtrusive. The stock measures 13 7/8" to the end of the wood and 14.5" to the end of the pad. This means the stock has been trimmed about 1/8-1/4" from its factory dimension.
Comes with the original manual serial numbered to the gun as well as the original plastic lifetime warranty card serial numbered to this gun!
