Built on a sideplated boxlock action with a single selective trigger (with adjustable pull weight), non-automatic safety, and timed ejectors, it comes with matched 32" barrel sets in both 20 gauge and 28 gauge, each chambered for 2.75" shells. Both sets are supplied with their own schnabel forend and a full set of five Caesar Guerini choke tubes in fitted cases. Dimensions are identical between the two configurations—1.5" drop at comb, 2.25" drop at heel, and a 15" length of pull. Weight balances perfectly at 6 lbs 14 oz with either set of barrels, creating a seamless transition when switching gauges. Sighting is via a vent-matted rib with silver mid-bead and white front bead. The coin-finished action is fully engraved by Bottega C. Giovanelli, signed at the trigger guard. Game scenes adorn the sideplates—two woodcock in a wooded vignette on the left, and two pheasants in a field on the right—framed by fine scroll engraving that continues across the bottom with large scroll and floral motifs surrounding the “Magnus” name. The trigger guard itself carries fine scroll punctuated by a large rose motif. The action retains 99% of its original finish. Both barrel sets retain 99% of their original bluing, complementing the deluxe walnut stocks and forends. The wood displays bold scalloping grain with sharp checkering on the round-knob pistol grip and schnabel forends. Light handling marks are present but consistent with careful use. Mechanically excellent, both barrel sets lock up tight with the action, bores are clear, triggers are crisp, and ejectors are strong and in time. The set comes cased in its original Caesar Guerini case with paperwork. This is a deluxe and highly practical two-barrel set, offering identical measurements across both gauges—making it not only a finely engraved showpiece, but also a perfectly balanced field companion in either 20 or 28 gauge.
