This is a classic Boswell with excellent barrels having good walls with a bright clean bores and a beautiful Damascus pattern. There is still some case hardening left on the exceptionally executed near full coverage scroll engraving. Whoever the engraver was he or she was a master. Note the modern stock dimensions and the choice of chokes for a long and a close shot. We have found through a search of the original ledgers (Thank you Chris Batha owner of Charles Boswell) that this shotgun was completed in September of 1903 and was purchased by one F.H. Manley and was delivered to his agent in Alexandria Egypt.
