Beautiful Prussian Charles Daly Lindner 12GA SxS Superior Grade Ejecto
Description: Serial #914, 12 Ga (2 5/8" chambers), 30 inch solid rib Damascus barrels marked "Charles Daly Fine Damascus Barrels" with bright, excellent bores. This is a Prussian Charles Daly side-by-side shotgun manufactured by Charles Lindner circa 1900. The extremely well built Superior Grade ejector gun with cocking indicators features an Anson & Deeley top lever action with figured walnut and accent engraving. With total production of the Prussian guns estimated at under 4000 this one falls into the second run of serial numbers having the later Lindner crossed pistols below "HAL" proof mark. In near excellent condition the Damascus barrels retain most of the original brown finish with excellent detail showing the fine swirl patterns with some scattered tiny nicks and other use marks. The receiver has perhaps 30-35% original case color with the balance a pleasing pewter-gray. The pistol grip walnut stock and forearm have slightly worn fine checkering and are in excellent condition with some mild bruises and impact marks near the original horn butt plate which has a chip at the toe and crack above the top screw. The action locks up tight with barrels on face and the lever resting just left of center. The gun weighs in at 7lbs 9oz with 13 ??" LOP and drops of 2" at the comb and 3" at the heel. A beautiful Lindner made Prussian Charles Daly that will be a pleasure to shoot and the envy of many. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
