Factory Engraved Charles Daly/H.A. Lindner 10 Gauge Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun Built by H. A. Lindner in the lated 19th century and retailed by Charles Daly of New York. The gun has a single bead sight on the smooth solid rib marked "CHARLES DALY FINE DAMASCUS", Lindner's "crown/crossed pistols" hallmark on the underside of both tubes, chokes measured full/full, and chambers measured 2 7/8 inches with extractor. The case hardened action shows attractive scroll engraving with Daly banners on either side. The gun has a richly colored and multi-point checkered splinter forend with horn tip and engraved iron and release as well as a round knob pistol grip stock with blank silver inscription oval, horn buttplate, and a 14 1/4 inch length of pull. Condition is Fine overall, with much of the original blue on the barrels and strong Damascus patterns, attractive smooth grey patina on the action,, mild handling evidence, added varnish on the wood, and mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. 10 Gauge
