Description:
Very rare original Charles Daly Diamond Quality double trap gun. This is the only example I have seen in this configuration - made with 32" barrels that have original ventilated rib. Gun made with original beavertail forend. Made with single selective trigger, auto ejectors, top safety, round knob pistol grip buttstock with cheekpiece which termimates with a ventilated pad and an extra 1/4" spacer. Case hardened action is fantastically engraved with near full coverage scroll and game scenes as seen in the photos. Scalloped action with heart shapped checkering and tear drop carved behind action. Gun with unique serial number of 25,500!
Overall, the gun remains in excellent condition. The barrels retain more than 95% original blue. Action retains about 60% of its original case color - perhaps more as it is obscured by the engraving. Forend is very good with a few minor handling marks and retains most of its original finish. Buttstock has had the comb altered early during the perido of use and retains most of its professional hand rubbed custom finish with a few subsequent minor handling marks. Checkering is well defined and crisp. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp and overall the gun is tight and on face.
