Description: Prussian Charles Daily 16 gauge. Serial number 1953 (5x matching) has 26-inch barrels (IC/M, 2.75-inch, ejectors). Features include a scalloped boxlock action with side clips, automatic safety and cocking indicators. The splinter incorporates a horn tip. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 5.6 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.4 inches, drops are 1.65 and 3.0 inches, and cast off is approximately .25 inches. CONDITION: Bores are strong and bright. Barrels have trace movement at face and the opening lever rests just left of center. Mechanics are crisp. Barrel finish is approximately 40 percent with thinning and slivering. Colors have faded to trace, the receiver silvered with areas of light tarnish. Engraving and markings are sharp. Forend is approxmately 70 percent with sofened checkering. Butt stands at approximately 70 percent as well, with a bit of softening at the drop points, a repaired crack at the tang and a fresh Pachmayr Decelerator. The price is firm. $3,250 plus shipping.
