Description:
E J Churchill Imperial Grade (same as Crown engraving style) 16 gauge with recent 2 3/4" Nitro Proofs. Churchill made very few 16 gauge guns and this one is very nice. Typical 25' Barrels with Churchill rib bored in Imp Cyl right (.008) and Lt Mod left (.013). Well figured stock with 14 !/4 LOP to 3/4' Silvers Pad (could reach 14 3/4 with 1" pad) with a few very small handling marks. Built in 1930 and retains very sharp engraving on barrel bands , trigger tang/guard and side plates. Screws not messed with. This gun would be a perfect Upland gun .....particularly over dogs because it is lightweight (5lb 12 0z) and very fast. Crown/Imperial sub gauges command a premium price above the 12k ( there is a 20ga Crown grade on GI they are asking over 20K for !!) Added bonus...es with a very rare worn but servicable compact "coffin" style case with makers Label . Excellent REDUCED price of $10500 OBO plus shipping ($25) to your FFL (photos of case added)
