Antique Cogswell & Harrison The Avant Tout, 12 Ga, 26" Barrels

The Avant Tout Side by Side in 12 Ga is a classic British-made boxlock built with traditional craftsmanship and a smoothbore barrel setup suited for versatile use.

It has an English Walnut Straight English stock and a solid rib that gives a steady sight picture with a brass bead sight for clean target alignment.

Overall condition is excellent for a shotgun made in 1895. The golden?amber wood shows light surface marks, the barrels stay pristine with full bluing except for tiny areas of wear near the breech, and the receiver keeps about half of its original bluing.

The action is tight, the ejectors fire well, and the cast is set slightly to the right for a right?handed shooter. This example reflects its age well and remains fully functional and well cared for.
