COGSWELL & HARRISON "HUNTIC" - HIGH CONDITION SIDELOCK WITH LONG BARRELS - 1 1/4 PROOF
Description: Cogswell & Harrison Model Huntic, a 12 gauge bar action sidelock ejector made in 1952. High condition with 95% original case color and tight well defined scroll engraving. Well figured straight grain wood and a Prince of Wales grip. Appears to be made as a pigeon or waterfowl gun with wide rib barrels that measure 31 7/8" and Mod (20/1000) and Imp Mod (26/1000) chokes. Mirror bores measure .727. Chambers are 2 3/4". Well functioning single trigger. Rolled edge trigger guard. Southgate ejectors. The gun closes like a bank vault. Tight on face. Barrels ring nicely. No crack to the wood. The right barrel is engraved - Cogswell & Harrison LTD, "Huntic" while the left barrel has - 188 Piccidilly, London. Weight of the gun is 7 LBS 6 3/4 OZ. LOP is 14 3/4".
