SALE PENDING. Vintage Cogswell & Harrison - The Avant Tout Model is a self opening boxlock ejector shotgun. This gun was made in 1893 and its design was patented by Edgar Harrison. As an antique it can be shipped directly as local law allows. Barrels are 29 3/4" with Cyc and Mod chokes. Bores measure .735 in each barrel. Chambers measure 3" (would suggest staying with 2 3/4" light loads as this is a light game gun). Gun was #2 of a pair. Auto safety. Ribs are tight. Gun is on face. Buttstock is free of any cracks. Third fastener. Snap on forend fastening system. Weight of the gun is 6 LBS 4 1/4 OZ. LOP is 14 5/8". Drop at comb - 1 3/4". Drop at heel - 2 5/8". Wood has some nice figure. Shipping is $75 by USPS Priority Mail.
