Christof-Funk, Suhl German Drilling
Description: Triple barrel double 16 ga shotgun barrels over 7.8 mm (8x42R mm) rifle barrel w/ box lock action, double trigger, side mount scope bracket, flip up rear sight. 24 1/2" barrel, SN 37869. All original. Set trigger and rifle firing trigger. Has some scratches & dings. Overall a solid drilling gun w/ great bores. A beautiful old Drilling, made in Suhl, Germany, by the Christoph Funk company. The action is crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable pre-war drilling, and is chambered for 16 Ga. x 16 Ga. x 7.8mm. Everything on it works, and all the levers and springs are still strong. The metal is in excellent shape. Blueing on barrels is very good. The original finish has faded some on the reciever, and has worn off in some areas. Wood to metal fit on this gun is amazing! Some German craftsman must have put considerable time into this one, and you can enjoy his craftsmanship in the comfort of your own home. If you don't have a prized family heirloom gun yet, this is your chance! You can inspect it for 3 days, fall in love with it and cherish it forever. The Christoph Funk plant in Suhl Germany was closed in 1965 and demolished in the 1970"s. Eligible for Curio and Relic. No more will bre made.
