Winchester Model 23 Pigeon 12 ga. Special order Italian Master engraved for QU

Description:
Winchester Model 23 Pigeon Grade 12 gauge SxS shotgun.  In the early years of Quail Unlimited the organization commissioned some very special, very limited-edition guns to be made for fund raising. This Model 23 is one of them.  Made in 1989 this was the fourth gun they did.  In 1986 it was a Browning Superposed Superlight 20 gauge.  In 1987 there was a special Winchester 101 28 gauge and in 1988 it was a Browning Sweet 16.

This Model 23 was #67 of only 100 made and was make this gun so special is that these were sent to Italy for master game scene engraving by one of the best engraving studios in Italy, Bottega C. Giovanelli.  Study the close-up engraving photos and magnificent Bulino engraved Quail look like they are alive!
Features: this gun has 27” vent rib barrels and factory choke tubes and 3” chambers; single selective trigger, automatic ejectors and automatic safety.

The handsomely grained walnut pistol grip stock has a 14 1/8” LOP, 1 3/8” DAC and 2 ½” DAH with slight right-hand cast.  The gun weighs: 7 lbs. 1 oz.

Summary:  This is a 34-year-old, new and unfired, Winchester Model 23 Pigeon Grade with about $15,000 worth of special ordered Italian Master engraving!!!  Cased
