20Ga. J.P.Sauer With 30"Barrels
Description: A beautiful custom built 30 gauge boxlock ejector built for A.H..Heinen of Chicago. Built on a 1928 J.P.Sauer barreled action, this gun is a great example of the gunmakers art. The 30" Krupp steel barrels have 23/4" chambers and are choked improved cylinder (.008") and modified (.015"). The bores are mint and the barrels retain 99% of the blue finish. The receiver and barrels are outlined with gold wire inlays. The action has sideclips and the fences are floral engraved. The engraving on the fences is original Sauer engraving. The pistol grip stock and forend are nicely figured walnut with beautifully executed 28 line checkering. The trigger is a single selective trigger with the selector on the side of the trigger,similar to a Parker trigger. The barrels are on face and lock up tightly to the action. The stock dimensions are 1414" LOP over a horn buttplate, 11/2" at comb,and 21/2" at heel. The trigger guard tang is engraved "AH Heinen Chicago". This is a great all around upland gun or a fine clays gun. I shot clays with it last week and it absolutely vaporizes targets. A true testament to an unknown gunmakers skills. C&R eligible.
