Winchester Model 12 Custom Two Barrel Set
Description:
Model 12 Winchester Heavy Duck two barrel set with one barrel set 30" with 3 inch chamber and one barrel set 28" with 2 3/4" chamber. Both with donut post vent rib barrels and Bradley front beads. Both set up for Briley flush mount screw in chokes. Seven Briley chokes are included with the gun; Steel-Full&Mod Lead-Full,Mod,Mod,IC,&Sk This is a full custom which began life in 1954. Engraving is by Master Engraver Roger Sampson of Mora, Minnesota, and signed by the engraver, with both sides of the reciever featuring full coverage Waterfowl scenes surrounded by Acanthus scroll, ducks on the right and geese on the left. Engraving extends onto the breech end of both barrels. Custom stocked in Exhibition American Walnut with pistol grip and Monte Carlo. 14" LOP to black Decelerator pad. 7lb 13oz with 28" barrels and 8lb 70z with 30" barrels. Cased in a fitted trunk case. This very piece is pictured in the 1991 Gun Digest in the "Art of the Engaver" section. This is perhaps the finest Model 12 Custom I have seen and remains in new condition. A true work of art.
