Description: John Dickson & Son 16-Bore Bar-In-Wood Hammer Gun
An extraordinarily rare piece of English gunmaking history, this is one of only six 16-bore bar-in-wood hammer guns ever produced by John Dickson.
Remaining in incredible, sound condition, the action is tight on face, the bores are excellent, and the original wood is entirely solid throughout. To complete the package, this fine game gun features a 1993 London reproof for full nitro (65mm / 900 BAR), making it as functional as it is historic.
Weighing a featherlight 5 lbs, 8 oz with excellent stock dimensions, it carries effortlessly in the field. Given the micro-production run of just six guns, surviving, fully serviceable examples are practically non-existent. A true museum-quality treasure for the serious game shot or collector.
