Zoli & F.lli. Rizzini 20g Boxlock Side by Side Shotgun
Description: Zoli & F.lli Rizzini 20g Boxlock Ejector made for Abercrombie & Fitch. Based on an A&D type boxlock action with a scroll or “scalloped” back, raised side panels, a single non-selective trigger, gold lined cocking indicators, and an automatic safety. The action body is scaled to an appropriate size for a 20 bore and has full coverage acanthus scroll engraving, carved fences in an oak leaf pattern, and a pierced top lever with small wedges engraved over the breeches of the barrels. The action body is color hardened. The 26” shoe-lump barrels have original 3” (76mm) chambers, a raised flat hand-filed rib w/ a single brass bead and are marked “Abercrombie & Fitch” on top of the left side barrel. The barrels are choked: .008” in the right barrel and .018” in the lefty barrel and marked “****” and “***” respectively. The barrel flats have a “XX7” date code ca. 1971 and is marked “Zoli and Flli. Rizzini” along with the A&F logo import mark. The gun is stocked in a nicely figured piece of walnut with a contrasting horizontal figure, traditional drop points, a 14 ½” LOP over a checkered butt with a semi-pistol grip and a splinter forend with an Anson push rod release. Forend is fitted with automatic ejectors. The grip and forend are checkered in a super fine 32 LPI pattern typical of Italian made guns. The original stock oval remains blank. The wood Has some handling marks and most likely has been shot. The barrels are in good condition and the action is tight. The gun shows signs of being hunted with various scratches and marks on both sides of the oil finished stock, but there are no cracks or signs of repair. The metal shows a few marks on the barrels, but are in nicer condition than the stock, probably 97% original blue and almost all the original color hardening remains. The barrels are tight on face with perfect bores and no dents or bulges. The ejectors are timed well and strong. Made for one of America’s most iconic outdoor companies by some of Italy’s finest makers of the time. Overall, this gun is in great shape and represents a very good value in today’s side-by-side market. Price: $8,000.00 Contact Seller |
